Dr. Sum joined West Chester Gastrointestinal Group in 2015 after practicing in Chester County for 7 years. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Sum completed residency training in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Temple University Hospital. She is board certified in gastroenterology and was recently named a “Top Doc” by Main Line Today Magazine. Dr. Sum’s clinical interests include women’s gastrointestinal health, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD),inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis), hepatitis, and colon cancer screening. She is fluent in Mandarin and is married with two young children. She enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family. Her goal is to provide the highest level of compassionate care to all patients.
